about
‘Kepler-452b’ puts the sheer scope of our universe into perspective. Slow, low, droning lines, set against call-backs to the riffs of the previous track establish the almost homogenous beauty of the void. Following a brief homily delivered by William Shatner, the listener is treated to a double saxophone solo performed by Isabel Guido.
OMG, late to the party but this is some of the best occult infused doom stoner tackle I've ever heard. Reference points include Sabbath (obvs), especially with the Ozzy-esque vocals but there's also the melodiousness of early Heep mixing with a more contemporary occult rock sound. It starts in the 70's and makes it to the present day. The riffs are huge but it's their way with a hook that elevates this from your average doom/stoner fare. Very wonderful indeed! egg-magoo
